The RD400C of 1976 grew out of the RD350 with a 398 cc air-cooled reed-valve twin. Wikipedia notes it came with spoked wheels and a rear drum, with cast wheels and a rear disc as an option, and it was described as the first bike from a major maker to be fitted with cast wheels. Points-and-coil ignition was used.
